The Waldorf Literary Review and its online counterpart The Nuthouse strive to further the intellectual and artistic conversation on campus by publishing the strongest, most-vital creative work across the Waldorf community. Please note that at this time we only accept submissions from current students, faculty/staff, and alumni of Waldorf University. We accept prose (both fiction and creative nonfiction), poetry, hybrid works, photography, and art. You are allowed to submit to multiple genres.

Submissions are currently CLOSED. We will reopen Fall 2025.

Works of prose have a limit of 2000 words, while poetry has a limit of 5 poems with a 100-line limit per poem. Please limit all art and photography submissions to 3 pieces.

In addition to being published in either the print or online journal, all submitted works from current students will be considered for the Salveson Prize, which will be awarded to the top three works in each category.

You will be notified in November if the editorial staff would like you to make any changes to your piece(s). Please be aware that final selections will not be made until the spring semester and that all submitted work will be considered for both our print and online journals.
