Angels are defined by their darling wings,
but what of those like Lucifer, with rotting, falling wings?

What of those that fall under the weight of sin
and are trapped near Earth with flawed, stalling wings?

How are they supposed to survive without
the blood of our Father? Fluttering wings

are not enough to reach Father in heaven
so, the mosquitoes needed cunning wings

that could help them find blood in the images
of Father. But that’s never enough for these fallen, falling, wings.

That’s why hundreds of thousands are lured down each year
by the kiss of mosquitoes. It’s thanks to those rotting, alluring wings.
